I was first introduced to JRS Afghanistan in 2015, when Fr Orville invited me to give an online seminar to a group of JRS teachers in Herat. Since that first seminar, JRS has become an increasingly important part of my life, and a partner organisation to my NGO Tara.Ed. Together, we conducted multiple collaborative projects with the JRS centres in Herat, Kabul and Bamiyan, training, supporting and mentoring over 150 JRS teachers. On a personal level, I have been enriched as I now consider many of these teachers to be my good friends. Tara.Ed continues to support JRS projects because of the clarity of JRS's vision and mission and the enthusiasm and dedication with which they pursue this service. Over the past 15 years, JRS has changed so many lives in Afghanistan for the better and we, at Tara.Ed, are humbled to be able to contribute to this journey.
