Today we would like to take the opportunity to wholeheartedly congratulate you on the 15th birthday of JR5 Afghanistan.

 

"The suffering and hardships of the world cannot be denied. You have to light a fire, start something that others will continue. It is forbidden to be discouraged."

 

This is a sentence by the Terre Des Hommes founder Edmond Kaiser, who spent his life striving for a world of humanity. During our visit to Afghanistan, we truly understood how difficult it is sometimes to maintain this vision. At the same time, we also saw your indomitable courage, your dedication and your belief in a better future for the children in Afghanistan ... and we were deeply impressed.

 

To stick with the quote from Edmond Kaiser, 15 years ago, you lit a light for the children of Afghanistan. Through your work, thousands of children and parents have gained a profound education and thereby means for a peaceful coexistence. Given the situation in Afghanistan, in our opinion, there could be hardly a more valuable contribution. In view of these unpredictable developments, we would like to assure you that we will always endeavour to remain at your side as a strong and loyal partner.

 

When we congratulate JRS Afghanistan on its 15th anniversary today, we congratulate and want to thank each and every one of you.  It is your mind and ability, your experience, your courage and the kindness of your heart, what makes your organization.
