I thank the Lord for the 15 years of presence of JRS in Afghanistan. You have put in practice the mission of JRS, to serve, accompany and advocate, in extremely difficult circumstances, and with great courage. 

 

Throughout these years, we have shared a beautiful journey, some times with tears and sorrow.

 

JRS Afghanistan has made a difference in the lives of many people. Your presence has been a lighthouse to many, and I am sure it continues to give hope every day. 

 

I think especially of all the girls who have had access to school, who have seen a bright future with the knowledge they acquired. Their families will never forget you. 

 

I thank each and every member of JRS Afghanistan throughout these 15 years, for being there, for this hidden presence which has produced beautiful fruit. 

 

We know that the kingdom is not only beyond our efforts, it is even beyond our vision. You have planted the seeds that one day will grow. You are watering seeds already planted, knowing that they hold future promise.
