Asadullah Qanbari

I was Public High School Principal for 12 years and I have been working as high school educator since then. At university, I studied English Language and Literature at Herat University. I have known JRS Since 2009, when for the first time I started working as JRS English Trainer in Chekhcharan in Ghor Province.

After the fall of the Taliban, during the new era of Afghanistan, international communities committed to support the Afghan government and people. Many countries and international NGOs came here to help and cooperate in improving and developing the country in all aspects. I as an Afghan witnessed many different kinds of projects, but their effectiveness and results were not as much as the budget spent. JRS was completely different among those NGOs. It has implemented very vital and effective programs especially for IDPs, and marginal provinces and people, who suffered and were isolated for the past ages. It has improved people’s knowledge, education, life skills and humane attitudes. JRS has spread and left love, friendship, honesty and self-confidence for people it has served, everywhere it worked. JRS helped Afghan families and youth to be self-reliant and independent. It developed Afghans’ capacities at different levels from school to higher education so that trainees might improve their country themselves. It has managed a big project with little funds. It has created peace and integration in most villages of the country from western part (Turkmenistan Border) to central part (among the high mountains and deep valleys).

Now JRS has become known as a kind father, redeemer and lifesaver in the mind of Afghan children. The first JRS students have become fathers, mothers, politicians, doctors, and teachers and are now transferring JRS’ message and vision to their children and students. I myself am a JRS student, teacher, staff and a father of five children; and I wish my children and students to be trained under JRS useful programs.

I wish all the best to JRS leaders.
