JRS is one of few NGOs working in the field of education in Afghanistan, which pays special attention to the advancement of women in every aspect. We are a group of government teachers in Herat Province to whom JRS provided an opportunity to continue our higher education in MBA (Education). In our team there are 5 women and 3 men. This work influenced our daily life, especially in our community relationships. While studying, the views of those around us changed. Our colleagues at school developed a special respect for us. Our principals asked us to help solve managerial problems in schools. This made us, especially the women, feel very confident. After graduating, we decided to establish Management Studies Organization (MSO) headed by two women. This is a great achievement for us females, within the MBA team. The establishment has had material and spiritual effects on us. We owe all this success to JRS and hope for more JRS support for women’s education.
